Life through the lens...

Rain drops on roses.

One of my all time favourite roses is this one "Zephirine Drouhin"
A lovley pink, climbing rose with a delicious old fashioned rose perfume, and thornless.
It is a classic Bourbon rose introduced in 1868.
This is the first flower to open on our fence. (Lots of buds to come out while we are on holiday!)

Raining today! I can't believe how lucky we were with the weather yesterday.
Only problem I got sunburnt on the back of my neck! Hadn't realised just how hot it was.

It is our wine tasting evening tonight. How the months fly by!
This evening we are tasting Spanish wines. The venue is Blacker Hall Farm, near Wakefield. They have a superb restaurant in a lovely old converted barn, and we always have a good meal there.
Should be a good night, and some friends are taking us so no problem with drinking and driving!

Thanks for all your comments, stars and favs for yesterday's curlews. I'm glad you liked them too.
