In Search of Summer

I wanted to revisit some of the spots I found on my walk from 2 days ago (the one where I found the Skylark) and see if I get get some summery photos as it was a pleasant summery day. I had some errands to do this morning, then I watched the cricket and did some sewing this afternoon, which left me with a glorious evening to search for my shot. I found some nice backlit poppies in an oilseed rape field, but the sight of this ripening corn with a sprinkling of poppies was the one that looked the most like Summer.
