Big night out

Tonight was the Gala dinner for the 40 years celebrations.  It took place 1800 m up in the cable car terminus on top of Tegelberg bei Schwangau. It wasn't a black tie affair as we would have had here, but some curlers wore their national dress - Scotland, Germany and Switzerland.  All but one of the speeches were in German and although I understood much of what was said I lost focus after 40 minutes. The views were amazing especially when the sun set. Team Thune from Denmark joined out table after the speeches. The young men were amazing as they switched from Danish to German to English - putting us to shame.
