Sweet and innocent
Don't be fooled by that innocent expression. Earlier she had a trapped baby bird in her sights giving a rather alarming insight into the hunter brain lurking inside the cute puppy exterior. Would not have been a good thing to clean up but fortunately her stealth walk is so very unsubtle I had plenty of warning to grab her collar and get her safely inside from where we could watch the mother bird find her baby and help her off to safety. Since then though Albi has returned to the scene of her near-crime each time she has been in the garden so I hope they have gone a safe distance.
Anna is out this evening watching Jools Holland at Kew Gardens with a friend and her parents. I'm hoping this isn't the start of her having a better social life than us.
Meanwhile, J has continued with the progress he has made this week, though is struggling a little with this final hour. He did have a boost today though with an amazing set of SATs results. Well, I think he is quietly pleased with how he did, especially given the condition he was in and how worried he was he wouldn't do his best, but it is hard to tell sometimes. And we did spend a lot of time telling him they weren't important so he wouldn't be too worried. Still, it is nice that at least his results reflect his 7 year school career to date and not the last 6 months.
