How do you make a swiss roll?*

A very busy and good Sunday around here.  I was a tiny bit shocked by what we had achieved before we headed out for the big dog walk around 11.30am....Jackson making the pictured swiss roll (minus the rolling which he bottled), Anna finishing far too much homework for this time of year, a run for Carlos, a short dog walk for me and Albi and some general household chores. 

Rest time for J and party-time for A who headed off to a climbing wall party. 

Rendez-vous at a friends' house where the kids were fed dinner and we were fed drinks and there was sharing of the swiss roll.  We think it is possibly J's first social outing out of the house all year and it was simply a joyous occasion all round. 

The kids have topped it off by starting a game of who can be quietest the longest in the cab home which is continuing (perhaps forever?) despite the stealing of various shoes and tickling. 

And if that wasn't enough Carlos has headed out to get us a take-out dinner which I will eat listening to The Archers in my (technically "the" but...) amazing garden chair in the evening sunshine.
