Oh, the Humidity

It's not a problem we come across too often (at all) back home. Temperature I get, but I had to look up all the 'Heat Index' stuff the TV weather reports were going on about. It's all to do with the temperature combined with the humidity and how the heat feels to your body, kind of the opposite of the 'wind chill' factor we get in the winter (September - May). In the low hundreds today, which meant lots of dips in the pool to try and keep cool, even though that got as warm as a bath later on (was just missing my Matey bubbles).

Couldn't even slug down a few cool beers either as I was on driving duty for a visit to the multiplex. We'd promised Samantha we'd all buddy her along and see the new Minions movie, so we duly did so. Lots of screaming weans but at least the theatre was proper cool. A few pre-theatre beers would've helped, but had to do with popcorn, coke and some Milk Duds to see us through.
