Golden-Ringed Dragonfly

I went to Rhayader for a couple of days and went for a walk in the Gilfach Nature Reserve. I soon realised the folly of forgetting the insect repellant as they made a feast of me!

There were lots of insects about including this dragonfly and dark green fritillary an extra picture. The other extra is lost property seen in Rhayader - I'd have been cross too, especially if I'd had to walk home barefoot!
