Ready and Waiting

Mrs MD & myself had a 'cultural afternoon' today.
We were invited to an Afternoon Soiree of Music and Poetry at Walshaw Lodge, above Hardcastle Crags. 
We had music by Chopin, Grieg, Mozart, Elgar and Liszt along with readings of poetry by Ted Hughes, Emily Bronte, Schiller and Noel Coward.  
A 'half-time' we were treated to some excellent refreshments - all home made - and a selection of wines (not home made). A very different afternoon to our usual Saturday ambitions - and very, very enjoyable it was too :-)
In 'extras' is a blip of Walshaw Lodge which shows its commanding position overlooking Hardcastle Crags.
