"WHAT A PICTURE, PUT IT IN THE FAMILY ALBUM "

Today was Matthew's special day so we were up early and on the road by 8.am, dropping Phoebe off to kind friends in the village.

We knew there were serious road works at Temple where they are trying to dual carriageway a huge new section, so we had taken a detour.  We arrived at Matthew's 'home' with just 5 minutes to spare, at 10.25 so we thought yippee!!  But sadly, due to record crowds going to the Air Show, we queued for ages to get in, in fact refused to accept there was no room for us to park in the special area, and barged past the person on the gate.  We knew how much this day meant to Matthew and we weren't going to accept failure.

The above picture is of course the famous Red Arrows display team performing the death defying manoeuvre.  And the smaller blip is of the Apache Longbow, one of Matthew's favourite helicopters.

He thoroughly enjoyed his day and we stayed until the helicopter finale which meant there were thousands of cars all trying to get out at the same time.  We finally got away and I drove us back home to Cornwall.

Phoebe the little tart had completely settled into our friends house and wasn't really bothered by our return at all.  Typical.

Now very tired after a very long day.  I hope you have all had a good Saturday.  Enjoy Sunday, whatever you are doing. xxx
