Baby Q has a new home!
Yes folks - she fitted on the foredeck perfectly and we still have plenty of room to walk around and drop the anchor if necessary! We also took her out for her inaugural voyage around the marina. She handles exceptionally well when there is just one person aboard BUT she is supposed to have a two person capacity. Two people of my height would probably have worked fine but my first mate, Hector is a lanky 6 foot something and his knees kept getting in the way of the oars! We are working on this problem.. It will either have to be major leg surgery on Hector or I will buy a low cost outboard motor and then we don't have to row! (or cut off his legs). Let's take a vote....
My extra photo today is of the water which surrounds Quasar - why, I hear you ask? Well it's just my way of advertising "Respect the Water" which is a hard hitting campaign by the RNLI launched on 9th July (this year) to get us all to think about the dangers in the waters around the UK. It is an excellent campaign and I urge everyone to check out this LINK. (and pass it on)
