N Edinburgh Cycle Path / Wardie Road

A low key Sunday; the attempt to get wee Zander on a bike hit the buffers early on when I realised he no longer fits on his bike! Let's add a trip to the Bike Station to this week's To Do list. So instead we went out with the Wee Yin on a bike seat and Tom on his BMX and headed off along the sea front towards Newhaven. Added by a stiff tail wind, we made swift progress and then turned up onto the cycle path and I had a mind to do the grit bin at the Five Ways. I took a couple of shots, but as we meandered back homeward a different way, we passed this one which we first spotted after Pedal on Parliament. So I got Alex out with his hand aloft to warm cyclists heading towards us that Cigs operations were afoot and under no circumstances was photobombing to occur.

Job done, we headed for home; zipped down Boswall Drive and home for roast chicken and a strawberry choc flan.

Well, that's the point of cycling, isn't it? To be able to eat cake?
