The Rory story.....

Rory sealed the deal. He certainly did the business this weekend...several poo bags later......but he also took care of THE business. The business where we get Dave to come round to our way of thinking.

The results are in and it's far better than expected. Not just one dog ("dogs need the company of their own kind, especially when us humans are not around" said I, repeatedly, for years), but TWO dogs. Maybe not this week, nor probably even this month. But soon. Very soon. I hope. All Mrs Murrays dogs need a cat free home. I've been checking. Lots. For years actually. So it's puppies, puppies the cats will cope with, before they grow into big dogs that the cats grow grudgingly to sort of cope with. Although Thumper didn't really cope this weekend. We'd only just coaxed the wonder cat back into the garden again when Boss dog was out playing with Tess and made a grab for him. Poor Thumper, dreamies galore tonight...when he does come home.

Good news on the great Loch Dubh front, summer frog in residence position seems to have been filled. It's a bit shy, but hoping it will be hopping in and out of the great depths (okay, okay, so we're talking 30cm at a stretch) soon.

Sam's engagement with the shaggy dog story: 0. Still have to do some work on that front yet.
