Whip it!

Very exciting day with the finals in the downhill world championship. A whole bunch of J's friends joined us today and boy did they bring the rain. We got truely soaked today, but it didn't dampen our spirits. We still managed to cheer on every rider with cowbells, air horns and cheers. This section is the newly added M82 part of the track and lots of folks shouted "whip it" as the riders came over the jumps. I've learned that this means to flip your bike out to the side when coming over a jump.... overall a very impressive day and lots of fun.

We also bumped into Danny McAskill with his olympic torch and I managed to get him to pose for pictures with the kids. Poor man probably had to spend an extra few minutes on the hill with other fans taking his photo (oops sorry).

Anyway, fun time and we spent a lovely evening in a few pubs in Fort William, great dinner and interesting taxi drive home.
