21 Gun Salute

Not sure whether the 21 Gun Salute at Edinburgh Castle was for the Jubilee celebrations or to welcome the Olympic Torch to the city - but as it happened at noon I'm sure there were more than a few locals readjusting their watches to British Winter Time thinking it was the one o'clock gun !

You can just see a wee puff of smoke from the gun firing.

Princes Street is looking particularly lovely with the ongoing tram works and the fact about 40% of the shops have closed or have been replaced with Tartan Tat shops.

Quite sad really. Only tourists wandering up the famous street wrapped up in their winter coats or the odd office worker (and we can be VERY odd!) popping out for a few essentials.

Maybe when the tram works are finished and the recession is over the street will return to its former glory. hahahahhaha. Sometimes I am just SO funny I have to laugh myself too!
