Garden has been really enjoying the rain and everything looks a lot fresher - if a little battered, and the lawn is beginning to turn green again.
Month long battle with my mobile now sorted.  Given a new sim card yesterday but phone still wasn't registered 24 hours later (and yes, I had switched it off and on again - before you ask!)
14 year old in the shop turned it off and on again and hey presto I am now connected again.  He gave me a wan smile!!
