Diary of an Edinburgher

Two exciting visitors

Today Archie's girlfriend, Bailey, came to visit. What excitement this announcement caused. Much yelping and running round. And that was just us!

They played and played in the kitchen, then out the back, then we took them to the Links, where they did even more charging around. At times, Archie was being chased - he's usually always the chaser. He was fair puffing after a while, while Bailey could have run all morning. It has been noticed that his waist is fast disappearing (I haven't seen mine for many decades) and so a slight reduction in his kibble (and treats) is called for.

I must say, Bailey is MUCH better at coming back when called or whistled. Her head went up, she looked at us, and she ran back. Every time. Archie just went on sniffing and came in his own good time. Hmmm.

Bailey's mum, J, is a real Apple aficionado. She wanted to see/touch my new iPod, but as she's got an iPhone, there is no need for a new iPod, though she did swither for a day or two. She helped me fix up Messaging and Face Time, which I've never used, and was impressively techie. Good to know someone like that!

Talk of things happening in threes...

First the camera broke (still under warranty).

Then the dishwasher (obsolete).

Now the 'home cinema system' Is refusing to 'sub-woof' (still under warranty).

We're off on a Big Adventure tomorrow. On a train. Staying overnight. Archie will have to pack his bag too, as he's coming with us...
