Gritty Wine Opener

I felt like a black and white gritty kinda shot today. There are few classes of subject more gritty than old tools that have seen plenty of action. Here's what must be considered an antique wine cork remover. With all of those cheap, quick and (apparently) efficient screwtops around, this thing is out of a job.

Somehow I miss corks. Not because they preserved wine so well (they didn't evidently) but because there was always a degree of ceremonyto opening a bottle which doesn't exist anymore. Sigh!
