Heritage Windmill, North Chailey, East Sussex.

This wonderfully maintained grade II listed smockmill is situated in Chailey Village, and is known locally as Beards Mill. The first windmill was built here in 1596, but this present mill was the seventh to built on this site in 1830 and it carried on working under wind power until 1911. Sadly, most of the machinery has now been removed and it has now become a rural life museum
