..middle brother left today, for a road trip down the west coast too. They have a funeral in the borders on Friday, so have a few days to take it all in. Currently at Kyle of Lochalsh..

So the house is now empty, and returning to normal routines.. Been mostly nice today, and have planted a few trays of Kohl Rabi. Hopefully these will develop for later in the season. Also a few Pak Choi I had in a tray..

Spent the rest of the afternoon push hoeing the veg, and then set to on the carrot weeding. Quite easy to do, but time consuming. Done the late sown bed, and half the first sown ones. Will st have to do a bit of hand weeding between plants now and I'm thrilled with my efforts.

Will now have time to spray off, and prepare beds for planting raspberries. These will go up and down the croft, and have a 2-3 foot sprayed strip, and a 4 foot grass path between beds. A single line of rasps in the centre of the sprayed bed, allowing weed control in the dormant seasons. The grass paths will be mowed.
