STAYING AT HOME

Just as well we didn’t want to go out this evening . . . we are not quite cocooned indoors, but with this equipment parked outside our place the road needs negotiating with extreme care.
Of course we have had plenty of warning by the water authority that it was planning to lay a new water main the length of our road and that the road would be effectively closed to through traffic for two months.
It hasn’t been too much of a problem for us, but this week they reached our part of the road, and we are told that tomorrow they will be working immediately opposite our place.
At least we can be thankful that the water main is being laid on the opposite side of the road, but the road is little more than a lane through our part of the village, so is fairly narrow.  But the workmen assure us we will be able to get in and out without problem.

Come to think of it, it may be a godsend and a very good reason to stay in all day.
