Lovely Primitives

Got 4 of these antique cast iron clothes iron aged between late 1800s to early 1900's, I was told. The maker I couldn't figure out as it was very hard to tell. In the early days, they call these SAD irons in America. Does anyone know anything about these gorgeous items?

They're very heavy, each weighing about 8 to 10 lbs. Some collectors use them for display or door stoppers. I use these cheezums as book ends or paper weights. Just love these old primitives!

After hours researching about its history, here is what I found. These irons are by Silvesters Patent Salters, c1890-1900, England. Mine is number 8.
