Taking shelter..

from the ongoing drizzle.... 

I was amused to see the underside of this Cow Parsnip (what I have always thought was Cow Parsley until a couple of weeks ago) It seemed like the ideal place to be on this dreich day. 

Flossie managed to stalk and catch a tiny baby goldfinch in the base of the hedge before I could stop her.. I heard it squawk and shouted at her to leave it.. she dropped it and thankfully it seemed fine so I picked it up and popped it back into the hedge (out of her reach)... tiny, blessed little thing I do hope it will be ok.. bad dog!!
