The Bankie Bike

I was lucky enough to catch these kids scaling the larger than life 'Bankie Bike' - the iron sculpture on the Forth and Clyde Canal near the Clydebank Shopping Centre. It is 11' tall x 19' long. The canal at Clydebank has been transformed, and local people now see it as an enjoyable, safe and accessible outdoor space, and a valuable part of their community.
 
I continued on down to Bowling and had my bike given a mini check-up by "Magic Cycles" - the cycle shop at the harbour where I bought it last September - and I was not even charged. Although I've photographed it many times, the main Bowling basin with its Customs House always makes an attractive picture under blue skies (see extra photo).
