Zip Blip
So we finally did it. The Titan Zip wires at Llechwedd. 3 zip wires travelling a total of 2km flying through the air up to speeds of 70mph!
We were driven to the start of the first zip and the views were unbelievable. You could see the top of Snowdon so clearly as there wasn't a cloud in the sky and could see for miles in all directions.
We were strapped into the wires very securely and at no point did I feel unsafe. We had a sort of harness contraption on us that included a seat, which was extremely elegant. Not! When we had to walk between zips there was a certain amount of waddling going on!
The first "take off" was probably the hardest. The gates in front opened up and you just had to lift your feet to be on your way, and my first thought was "don't want to" but I did and I glided. You went fast but it didn't feel like it, it was so smooth.
Between the 3 you sailed down hills, over quarries, mountains and mines. It was probably one of the most exciting and extraordinary things I have ever done, apart from maybe getting to the top of Snowdon, but at least I was sitting down for this!
