First sighting

I had a day off so went up to the allotment to do a bit more work there - in fact most of my time was spent picking stuff. And I spotted the first couple of courgettes - these are a golden variety, which probably don't taste any different to the green ones but are a lot easier to see amongst the leaves!

It was good to see C again, his radiotherapy having finished - he's still fairly wiped out by it, but enjoyed sitting and telling K exactly what to do! When I got back I blanched and froze the backlog of broadbeans and peas. There's plenty more coming though; and the dwarf french beans have only just started flowering. I think I'm going to have to call in the vegetarian posse.
