On Alert

The weather was relatively mild today....no need for multiple layers of merino. The early sun shone a golden light on the landscape when Fergus the dog and I took our morning walk. Here he is gazing across the Taylor River bed to the east. A distant dog has caught his attention.
The previous owners of our house paid us a visit today. It was lovely to see them and Perkins, their previously owned cat, had lots of cuddles. I am sure she remembered them fondly as she headed straight to the cupboard where they used to keep her food.... I think she was trying to tell them that she was being starved.....not!!
