Lochan Deò

A great day for walking again. This wee lochan was a breath of fresh air, which is what it's Gaelic name means. Found damsel and dragonflies, tadpoles, BLACK toads and leeches. Above saw Crested Tits and Crossbills. Later found a White faced Darter that was obviously dying. To think they only hatched two months ago after spending years as larvae in the lochans and have now mated, laid and died.
