Arizona Apricot Blanket Flower

This is my newest perennial. Bought it for 2 dollars at Lowes. I figured that for 2 dollars, it would at least me worth a blip.

I think it is pretty, but what's with the name?

1. They sell it in Michigan, not Arizona. 
2. I know it might look like an apricot, but I certainly can't eat it.
3. A blanket? It might cover a couple of my always cold toes.
4. A flower? Yes...it is a flower.

Speaking of apricots...I just took out my small blueberry-apricot cobbler. I had some blueberries to use, and I like the extra fruit in there. I hope it's good.
