Pearls

After looking at the wonderful Jewellery at the V&A museum yesterday and the fact that it was my late Mother's birthday I got out her set of pearls.  They are a triple string with a traditional clasp and are still in their original box which closes with a satisfying 'snap'.  The interior of the box has a felted lining with three terraces which houses each of the three strands perfectly. I wore them on my wedding day, and as our wedding anniversary is  being celebrated next week, I think that's the perfect excuse to give them a trip out to the special restaurant where we had our wedding reception.
