A day of chores awaited but...

...instead I sat in a meadow!!
Yes...I was intent on getting indoor jobs done today...but while I was eating breakfast there was a feature on the TV about taking part in the Big Butterfly Count http://www.bigbutterflycount.org/
which starts today.  So after a quick text to my friend B, we arranged to meet at our local country park.  After a short walk and ice cream, we spent a happy fifteen minutes identifying and counting butterflies for later input.  Then we settled into our fold-up chairs in the middle of the meadow and enjoyed the sound of birdsong, crickets chirping and the wind in the grass while we chatted and put the world to rights...just perfect! 
The chores can wait until it rains!
