In The Light
We have an Acer which has outgrown its container and needs repotting. I've been looking around but not seen anything suitable, so we went to Whichford Pottery near Shipston which we'd never visited despite living not far away.
It's a great place to visit. They have a wonderful quirky cafe with superb cakes, and they are very happy for you to take photos in the workshops, of the potters and skilled people who do all the hard work.
My picture shows one of their apprentices, who was spraying some grey ' slip' onto small pots which are to be exported to Japan.
They don't do any 'throwing' on a Friday, so we are going back on a day when they do. The cafe isn't open every day, so careful planning is required to choose the perfect day for both cakes and pot throwing!
