One foot in the grave....

A fair bit of rain this morning.First job was to get the chain saw going and cut up 2 trees that had blown down over the road during the night.
Then had to go and weld the front mud guard back onto a tractor.
Put the first lot of weaned cows back to the field. The calf that I twinned on last night seems to have been accepted by the cow. It was in sucking this morning,even though it was on one of the blind teats !
There were 2 ducks missing when we got back from holiday last week. I presumed they were away nesting somewhere. However I found all that is left of one of them this morning round at the feed pile. Obviously the vermin Mr Fox has been going about. Don't hold out much hope for the other one now.Time to get the gun out I think.
