It was Friday!

Arrived at Burgundy's on Thursday night to find "our" room taken over by a retro party!  How dare they.....but then they probably paid!
We were back upstairs where we used to be many years ago - a smaller space but a quality following!
I immediately recognised John Woodhouse carrying his sax, Stu Lewthwaite carrying his enormous double bass and Prof Mike Reynolds with his keyboards......and then there was an attractive young lady with a music stand - she was Georgia Winrow - still at Lancaster Grammar School  but with a mature voice that could get around the most challenging of jazz numbers with skill and confidence.  She will go far and we saw her in Kendal when she was so young.  So of course I sketched her and Professor Mike Reynolds on keyboards.  Four extremely talented guys and a great night.
Fortunately I won the last prize in the raffle but unfortunately it was a CD that I had put in - but I know that John Davies will like it ....when he gets back from his African safari!!
