jess and james
what a day. it's been absolutely fantastic and utterly tiring.
jess was without doubt the most laid back bride i have ever met, to the point of bordering on nonchalance. it was a great attitude to have but left for a few hairy moments. but james and jess are now husband and wife and are, as we speak, probably still enjoying their celebrations with friends. although the amount of time jess spent talking about wanting to be in her pjs, i'm not sure. she's a girl after my own heart.
reflections on the day. photographing a wedding really is a rollercoaster of emotions. nerves, terror, excitement, moments when you look at the back of the screen and feel relieved that things aren't terrible but overwhelmingly: feeling like a fraud and ready to let the pros take over.
not sure i can go through all that again.
big up to happyframe who was an absolute trooper today. the bride's bouqet (pictured) was lovingly created by her, along with all the other flowers. and then she assisted me as second shooter. she deserves a holiday now. bullivants and co, please make sure there's a glass (bottle?!) of wine chilling for her when she arrives :-)
