Younger son, Dan and I took a wonder up to my new found small wild meadow patch this evening. You will recall that my trail cam had recorded badgers there recently. There is also lots of evidence of fox trails.

We sat past sundown through dusk but nothing stirred. No doubt the wildlife is having a party up there now its dark.

I hope I have more luck tomorrow as I have planned a kingfisher hunt. My friendly country ranger has a farmers permission to use a stretch of stream that has a family on it. They have been in the same spot for  5 years now so hoping the chances are high. We will be there early.
