We had to take a detour this morning on our way north from Seattle to BC. There was a double murder on the highway (I5) around 3 am..the truck that fired at the other car is still at large. One person escaped. The crime scene was still blocked at 10AM ( after we left home, early, as we heard about the blockage on TV) when a gravel truck coming southbound crossed the median and 23 cars were damaged by flying signs and other stuff. What a disaster. Amazingly, altho there are people from those cars hospitalized , no one was killed, thank heavens. We went around about. and just saw barns and fields and horses. ( but no good photos). Still had time to go by a very crowded grocery in BC, and also Starbucks for coffee! So much work bringing too much stuff, but whew, now we are set and don't have to move for quite awhile! The highway was still blocked from the huge accident until about 10:00PM
