On the beach

I had to post a birthday card to a friend today so walked down the lane where the little postbox is then carried on to the beach for a blip.

I really did try not to do flowers again today but the tide was out (it goes out for a mile) so not a lot to see .
These tiny little stars were so pretty growing in the sand. I don't know what they are called.
Any ideas?
