Brent Tor, Dartmoor

We spent an interesting day exploring Tavistock, Brent Tor and Lydford Gorge, all places worth revisiting.  This shot was taken as we approached Brent Tor where the Church of St Michel de Rupe stands on the top of the Tor.  

Around the Tor are Iron Age earthworks and the remnants of a Hill fort. The Church dates from the 13th Century and has Evensong services during the summer.  A very atmospheric location with magnificent views in all directions.
