A peak at Dawlish Warren

Today started with no visibility and a sea mist surrounding us.  We were out on a local bird group outing to Dawlish Warren.  As we set off the mist cleared across the estuary and we were soon walking in sunshine.  As it had rained in the night there were rain drops laying on the flowers and grasses and more dramatically inside the numerous spiders webs.  The additional photo shows one of these.

The main photo was taken as we wandered over the sand dunes towards the sea.  A productive day for birds as we spotted Sandwich Terns, Common Terns, Sandpipers, Knots in their summer orange plumage, Whimbrel, Dunlin and Gannet amongst others.
