Today's the day ........................... for a few regrets

Our garden is looking lovely at the moment.

And it's not because I've been spending much time in there looking after it.  All our time at the moment is spent sorting our belongings and disposing of the excess that we seem to have accumulated over the twenty-five years that we have been living in this house.  The thing is that (fingers crossed) we have sold our house - and very soon we will have to vacate it - and the garden.

You also accumulate a lot of garden memories in twenty-five years.  The plants that people gave you or that you discovered for yourself somewhere special.  The ones that have done well - and the ones that have disappeared without trace.  The outside grapevine is loaded with tiny bunches of grapes that we won't be here to harvest.

I'm sure that eventually we will have a new garden that will have a new lot of challenges and memories for us.  But, just for today, my thoughts are with this one ...........................
