Black Cat Stare

I was out on our street late this afternoon, seeking a convenience blip, when this very black cat (which I don't remember seeing before) crossed the street directly in front of me  It paused for a minute or two in a bush just on the other side to look back at me, and I thought I might exorcise the back luck of its passage inn front of me with an image or two.  I'll report in due course if I perceive any consequence from the whole event.
