Alloa Tower

A visit to Alloa Tower was the order of the day on Friday. 

Constructed in the 14th century and remodelled and adapted over the subsequent centuries the ancestral home of the Erskine family, the Earls of Mar and Kellie, is now laid out internally like an 18th century mansion house. Portraits adorn the walls and period furniture sits side by side with cabinets full of silver and assorted mementos.

An interesting little diversion for a wet Friday afternoon.
