Work in progress

This used to be a very full and colourful flower bed, but over the years it became overrun with bindweed. Drastic measures removed (we hope) the offender and now a membrane has been put down hopefully to control it.
We went to Wisley Garden last week to try to get ideas, and we liked a gravel bed with a great many pots of all sizes on it. Normous set to and spread the gravel. The little tree is an apricot which was a present last year. Now all we have to do is organise the pots. I've made a start!

I have just seen Lucy Worsley's film about the history of the WI and I thought it was very good. So often a rather biased picture of the WI is given but this was very balanced. The icing on the cake for me was when they showed the WI college bedrooms and featured a cushion that I made for the Surrey Room! You don't mind me boasting about it, do you?
