Bee blip

Windy today.  I was doing some trail maintenance with clippers and about to cut this thistle away from a very sunny spot when I thot I'd  first take a picture of the great color.  And look what was on it.  I have no idea what kind of a bee this is.   I’ve never done a bee blip before, nor do I do flowers much—don’t have a macro lens.  Did play with it a little... But there you go…….there's always exceptions in life, right?
