Stormy Day

Today, we were treated to a series of rolling thunderstorms, starting at 6am. They each took a long time to build up, the skies turning progressively darker, filtering the light in some rather amazing ways. Then they blew and it poured rain for about 15mns and the sun came shining through again. An hour later, repeat performance and so on throughout the day.

So the focus was on food again. We enjoyed a 'degustation menu' with five wonderful courses and the wines to go along with them. I'm guessing this is not the vacation where I'll lose the pounds I gained from stopping smoking...
