All plumbed in!
Mr G came to plumb in the new dishwasher. And to have a chat over a coffee... He's such a nice man. Then an hour later, Mr G had to come back, an error light was flashing. E15 was not mentioned in the instructions (those E numbers cause a lot of problems in dishwashers too!). He tracked E15 down to a crack in one of the screw things at the end of one of the hoses. He did not give up till he found the fault. What a man! It is now loaded up with the lunch dishes, but I'm too scared to touch it. JR and Archie have escorted our lunch guest to the bus.
Archie and I were having a wee play out in the back garden this morning. His nice chewed red football has gone missing (I blame Tinkerbelle, the neighbour's cat) but I found another football in the shed. Quite hard to throw it up and then quickly line up a shot. We did it lots and lots of times. JR was too busy making lunch to come and play.
I have arrived at the age that I always promised deluded myself that I would re-join Edinburgh Leisure. Now that I'm officially a really old codger, the monthly subscription is more reasonable. I used to go to the Commonwealth Pool very regularly, and worked up to swimming a kilometre each time - not having been a swimmer at all before. I think it's the best exercise for me. I really really should re-join... Hmmmm...
Good news re the wonderful B&B we stayed at last week. A bit of a mix up balls up with Booking.com, who confirmed our next booking for October, then next day emailed to say it was a mistake, there was no room available. And to cancel our booking with them (their mistake) would cost £6! I rang the B&B who said yes, there are rooms available! They have had problems with Booking.com... Don't think I'll use them again.
We're going to the theatre as well, so there were only certain nights we could go. We'll take the car this time, thus avoiding out-of-control squealing kids on the train. Though probably not avoiding vomit. I wonder, if given the choice, which Archie would prefer...
PS Check out the extra photo of Archie, (he has no idea where the ball is) on his tippy toes...
