Toon Hall Window
A dull and wet start to the day but it did dry up with a dull day to follow and then the rain came back in again!
I've had a busy day in the museum office today and more scanning of Clement Williamson negatives. The museum itself has been mobbed all day with visitors. There has been two cruise liners in Lerwick today and the dull wet day sent them towards us :)
Not got much done after work, a peerie walk but a drizzle shower put me off.
Off to work again in the pub tonight.
This morning when the showers dried up, I had to head out with a photo order along Da Street. I was also sent to get some wirset for a bairns workshop coming and then asked to go to the Lerwick Town Hall to photograph some tapestries that hang in the main hall but belong to the museum collection. Unfortunately they had glass over them and too many reflections but on a dull day, the amazing stained glass windows were bright and cheery :) There's loads of windows here and each one tells some sort of story of Shetland's past, I'd need to learn them :) This is the big rose window in the north gable.
