Philadelphus.

A day making progress!  We have ordered the major part of our needs for the changes we are making in the garden.

Then between showers we cut back pruned a Yew tree  and planted the Lonicera "sweet Sue" so that it could use the tree to scramble up.  Then we turned our attention to a seriously over grown Philadelphus.  It was so over grown and tall that I cut through a branch which we were confident had little new growth.  When we got it clear of the other bushes it was large and covered in flowers.

The flowers are double and extremely beautifully scented so hopefully our attention will improve things for next year.
