A mullien near the garage
A self-seeded mullien is doing very well. Others in the garden getting more sun have finished blooming and are setting seeeds. Takes two years to get one to maturity.
The bucket in front with the blue lid is an experiment gone awry. I am hesitant to move it until winter or at least in the colder part of autumn. I had started to follow a blipper's directions for growing nematodes to get slugs. Before I got to dump the smelly water out into the garden a colony of mosquitoes was secretly developing in there.
Whee! I only lifted the lid once for the cloud of nasty singing insects to try to escape. Now they are in there breeding to their death, I hope.
Scratch one hopeful experiment...
