Eilean Glas lighthouse, Scalpay
Our last day and we had more rain in the night but it stopped in time to let the tent dry out a bit before taking it down.
Our ferry was in the afternoon so we had time for a final walk in the sunshine to the lighthouse on Scalpay, it's one of the 4 oldest in Scotland.
A good track has been made from the end of the road so we followed this and had a good explore around and took numerous photos.
To return we went by the coastal path which is up and down, windy and boggy but had good views.
Then to Tarbet and the ferry to Uig on Skye, a scenic crossing.
Our original plan had been to stay a night on Skye but, although it was a lovely evening, we decide it was too much hassle getting everything out again and risk putting it away wet the next morning so we drove straight home with some fantastic views with the evening sun (and a rainbow).
We did stop for fish suppers in Portree which was crowded (a cruise ship off shore) - a bit of a shock to the system!
